What Your Board Is Up To

The scholarships for 2008 are now being publicised around the universities. We now await the applications and will be reviewing them shortly. After that comes the task of choosing from the worthy recipients.

The Board accepted a very high number of new members at the recent monthly Board meeting. There were 25 for the month - an excellent result.

This month's recipient of an SGLBA donation will be PFLAG. In total we will be donating $2000 to them. There will be more donations to come!

Planning and design work has commenced on the new web site with a target completion of June 2008.

We are currently planning a couple of special events and will announce the details when confirmed.

And finally the Board also welcomes a new Board member in Chris Brooks. Chris has agreed to come on Board to take over the Membership role and has done great work in getting our Membership systems set up for an overhaul, and signing up a lot of new members.
