One of the most important things the SGLBA can do is promote and increase awareness of other community-based organisations. Over the last several months at Fruits in Suits and Lemons with a Twist, we have presented such organisations as The Luncheon Club, Bobby Goldsmith Foundation and P-FLAG with $2000.00 each from the SGLBA’s Good Works Fund. In June, we are delighted to be awarding $2000.00 to ANKALI to assist with the training and support of volunteers who assist people with HIV / AIDS-related health challenges.
In July, we will be presenting Camp Goodtime with funds. Run through the Sydney Children's Hospital, Camp Goodtime organises a series of camps for children living with HIV/AIDS and their carers. It is the only service in Australia to deal specifically with under 18s living with HIV, and they need money and volunteers.
Thank you - your support is appreciated!
