Fruits in Suits – Networking at its best
The SGLBA's monthly networking and professional mixer, Fruits in Suits, is going strong at The Beresford Hotel. With attendance at over 2700 over the past year, there's lots more in store for 2011.
We are rapidly approaching our one year anniversary at The Beresford Hotel and, in summarising the last year for Fruit in Suits, Mark Haines, SGLBA Vice-President and Director of Fruits in Suits commented that this year the event witnessed a number of changes.
"The most significant of course was the relocation of the event. Event attendance for the year was over 2700, with a split of about 43% / 57% Members:Non-Members. Additionally, over $23,000 worth of prizes were donated by SGLBA Members in 2010. That's a real show of confidence in the event."
He continued: "Hotel management recently confirmed the upstairs private function area will be open from 1 June, and whilst this is later than originally anticipated, given the hotel has changed ownership in the last year, and undergone other changes, we are really looking forward to the new space."
The SGLBA is researching the possibility of offering sponsorship packages in the months ahead and these will create some great benefits for interested parties.
